Actually, I'd be fine with Monty Mole.
Toblet said:I'd be happy with that roster if they remove Birdo and Waluigi. They could possibly replace them with Blooper and 1 mystery character. (Nintendo likes to add at least 1 different character to the roster that hasn't appeared in a Mario Party).Toadette said:What about just Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi,Birdo, Wario,Waluigi, Toad, Toadette, Boo, Dry Bones, Shy Guy and Koopa?
Their not very likely to remove Waluigi but Birdo just wastes a space IMO.

It better not be Metal Clonio and how can there even be two Marios in the same place? Metal is just Mario with a metal cap. >:^( Makes almost as much sense as the time paradox babies.
Toblet said:Well, to be honest it is declining in popularity. Why? Because it's not in Mario Tennis Open or Mario Kart 7. It is a character that not many use. Yes, you may like it, but ask yourself this - Is it your favourite character and would you play it all the time?★Plum★ said:Small? Um... Birdo's fanbase is just as big as any other character. His/Her fanbase is deffinitaly larger than some other popular characters like Toadette, Koopa, The Babies, or heck probably even bigger than Waluigi's. She has been around this long becuase she is popular and many like her and if no one liked her she would have never become playable again after Mario Tennis 64 or even Mario Golf for the GC. Yes there are other characters more popular than she (like Rosalina), but she is still earned her place and many do like her. Toadette was playable before Birdo becuase during that time she was still riding her Double Dash popularity and Birdo was still playable in many other games around that time, so it doesn't matter much Toadette came first in Mario Party since Birdo was playable in games she wasen't during the time.Toblet said:A very small one as well. Thats only two handheld games and Birdo is usually playable in console games and one of them had a messed up roster anyway.
Yes Birdo is one of my favorite characters and if he was playable I would use him from time to time.
Waluigi should stay in spin-offs and I hate MK7's roster.

I think it's only a matter of time before it is removed from another game. Don't just blame Mario Kart 7 for Toadette's absence because other games are also responsible. I don't believe Mario Kart 7 is the only game to blame for character exclusions. I think it's very likely that Birdo will end up in the same situation as Toadette where it will struggle to get into the roster.★Plum★ said:Toblet said:Even so, both games had 16 playable characters and Birdo wasn't in one of them. It happens, Nintendo does this from time to time. Where they remove older characters to make way for newer ones. Like Petey was removed from Mario Kart to make way for Rosalina. Sadly sometimes the characters are loved and them being removed doesn't sit well with some. Like Toadette doesn't like that Toadette was removed from the series. Another example is DK Jr. and Koopa Kid. The same can be said on some others who are riding the line of neer removal. It kinda sucks for me seeing how I don't like most of the newer characers they are using. Birdo however will stay in the MP roster for a while seeing how they deemed him important enough to have a spot in the game while Boo, Dry Bones, and Toadette were axed. So I can bet Birdo will be back for MP3DS
Hammer Bro appears on Battle Spaces. Toadette got axed, with not a single reference to her in MP9. Partner system has been cut off, so Toadette's existence is meaningless now.Toblet said:Quote wars.★Plum★ said:Toblet said:I think it's only a matter of time before it is removed from another game. Dk Jr. was permanently replaced by Diddy and Koopa Kid has permanently been replaced by Bowser Jr. so it's not like they've completely disappeared. You could see it as an 'improvement' of the older characters. I don't actually think the Mario Party 9 roster means that Birdo's place is permanent because they didn't have much time to concentrate on the roster. For example, there were only 12 playable characters and Shy Guy and Magikoopa were very obvious choices. Boo appears in 'Boos Haunted House' and King Boo is a boss. Dry Bones is also a boss and appears in many mini-games, so none of those characters have been given the axe, they were just given different roles. Unfortunately only Toadette and Hammer Bro have been given the boot (That I am aware of).
In Mario Party 10, I'm confident that at least one older character will get the boot (most likely Birdo). It's very likely that Toadette will replace Birdo and make a huge comeback. I'm actually glad Birdo got a position in Mario Party 9 because it only makes it more likely to be removed in MP10.

If she were to come back it would most likely be in Baseball or MKWiiU, if she re-appeared in a Main Series game she would definitely need to serve a larger role.

Dk Jr. was permanently replaced by Diddy and Koopa Kid has permanently been replaced by Bowser Jr. so it's not like they've completely disappeared.

@Mortal Kombat - I like Monty mole but I don't think Nintendo will ever make it playable.
Thats only two handheld games and Birdo is usually playable in console games and one of them had a messed up roster anyway.
Yes Birdo is one of my favorite characters and if he was playable I would use him from time to time.
Waluigi should stay in spin-offs and I hate MK7's roster.
No really, seeing how they did things like removed characters like Waluigi, Diddy, and Toadette from MK7 and how Birdo hasen't been in Tennis since 64 I take her uninclusion with a grain of salt, she will be used again.
It happens, Nintendo does this from time to time. Where they remove older characters to make way for newer ones. Like Petey was removed from Mario Kart to make way for Rosalina. I doubt Birdo will be removed in MP10 nore that Toadette will come back. Would be nice to see Toadette again, but I think her time is done and since there is less focus on partner things she has no real use anymore since she was created to be Toad's partner.
Birdo is Yoshi's partner. Does that mean Birdo is useless? There is no use for it anymore if the partner system is gone.Toblet said:yoshi402 said:★Plum★ said:too many quotes!!!!Toblet said:Quote wars.★Plum★ said:Toblet said:I think it's only a matter of time before it is removed from another game. Waluigi's best quality in Mario Party 3 was his bad-ass attitude. He was a really mischievous character and was even able to beat up Bowser. Now he's just a joke. He basically has no use anymore.Toblet said:★Plum★ said:Birdo is Yoshi's partner. Does that mean Birdo is useless? No Birdo is not Yoshi's partner and in fact Birdo came first in the Mario series so Yoshi is Birdo's partnerWaluigi has a use and Toadette has been given the axe. The game creators stopped caring for the character and so she most likely wont be used anymore. Waluigi and Birdo stay becuase they are popular with the fans and game creators like using them.
