Announced by The Pokémon Company (Thursday, May 21, 2015)! The next game of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. Exclusive to 3DS. Release: Thursday, September 17, 2015 (Japan); Winter 2015 (North America); Early 2016 (Europe/Australia).

Will it be good as Explorers of the Sky? Or will it be "bad" as Gates of Infinity?
 
I've been on and off about the PMD series. I still haven't beaten Gates to Infinity and I need to get back into Explorers of Time but I just don't.

Well, I guess while waiting for this game to come out I can still finish those other ones...

Anyway, I don't understand what the "Super" is all about. There wasn't really a PMD game just called "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon," so why can't it be called that?

In terms of Mystery Dungeon, a Top list can be easily done! :p

1st- Explorers Of The Sky
2nd- Explorers Of Time/Darkness
3rd- Red/Blue Rescue Team
4th- Gates to Infinity

I've always liked the PMD series, to be honest, so I'm looking forward to this.

Of course, I only ever played the first and second ones before my great disappearance, so I'm not sure what happened to the other games and why Gates to Infinity is so bad.

Take a look at all the pokémon in Gates To Infinity and then compare it to Explorers of The Sky

Explorers Of The Sky: All the Pokémon Till Gen 4 (Recruitable except Arceus that is refrenced as a Statue) ;)

This is just one of the many reasons that Gates To Infinity is the worst, there are many more but i'm not going to list them all

Compared to the previous Mystery Dungeon Games (specifically Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky), it is pretty bad imo. The storyline was no where near as good or as strong as T/D/S was.

All I'm hoping for in this new entry, is that they have a powerful storyline and a fun postgame story like the previous game had.

To be fair, the Pokemon games are getting pretty big in scope. Explorers of Time had a buttload of Pokemon, but didn't it use the same sprites as the original Red / Blue rescue team games? The transfer to 3D + the ridiculous amount of Pokemon probably makes it a lot harder. :v

They can just alter the ORAS pokémon a little :p


OMG I JUST REMEMBERED!!!!!!!! HOW ARE THEY GOING TO PUT MEGA EVOLUTIONS INTO MYSTERY DUNGEON??? O_O

Maybe in the dungeons there will be an item called "Mega Stone" and once you make a Pokemon hold it that Pokemon will Mega evolve? That's my guess anyway...

Anyway, I hope the multiplayer in this game will be better than Gates to Infinity, if there is even a multiplayer option.(As in, you can play with others in regular dungeons and maybe you could also play over Nintendo Network instead of just Local Wireless.)

We finally get a look at the game. Seems like every starter from 1st to last generation will be playable which is totally awesome.
