I've recently found out that some people think that Mario Party would be better without any board game mechanic and that it should be just a collection of minigames.
Do you agree?

No boards?

it does ofc depend on how well they design the stage. if they design boards with surprises wch are pleasant and not only about luck and such, i would like it, plus winning the mini-ames can be fun 2 (as long as u get them =.=)
NO BOARDS?!
Thats an horrible idea!

That's quite crazy. Board is a major thing in Mario Party. Will hardly be a Mario Party if it's not there...
Boards are neeable in MARIO PARTY LIKE MOSTLY ALL PARTYY GAMES D:
Boards are the only thing from making Mario Party "just a collection of minigames".
That would be completely changing the Mario Party formula. I can't imagine it.
I personally don't like that idea. I'd be okay if they change the way you play boards a little though.
It's not a MP w/out the boards. Sure, the minigames are key too, but the boards carry the character of the series.
That is horrible! Terrible! Mario Party must have boards in order for it to be Mario Party! I disagree, Topper1.
It's not Mario Party if it doesn't have any boards. It'd be weird if it did, though.
That idea seems horrendous! Revolting! Or else it would just be like "Mario Mini-Games" or "Mario Mini-Game Collection" or something along the lines of that.
I agree with all of you. If Mario Party stopped having boards, it would ruin the formula.
Mario Party is nothing without boards, the board is where the twists of the game located.
If Mario Party is just about playing minigames consecutively, I'm sure we'll get bored fast...

can't say anything against that lolz, no boards, no way to win the minigames, but ofc, if the get REALLY big minigames (ok, mayb egagames or something) then mayb it would get a BIT better
That will be a HORRIBLE idea!!!!!

Absolutely not! It just wouldn't be Mario Party without the boards.
When people just want to play the mini games, that's what the mini game tent/house/area is there for.

Having no boards is like having no arms or legs.
I would disagree with that. People have board games at parties to play with each other. It wouldn't be as challenging without the boards, they make the whole game. Also, without the board, how will the minigames be decided.
