Isn't the solo mode of Mario Party 6 also got these kind of spaces? Even if I didn't really play that much this game (because I don't own it), I don't really mind to have these kind of spaces, these will be awesome! Even more with some opponents!

The solo mode did have mini game spaces: 4 Player, Battle, Bowser, 2v2, 1v3 and duel against koopa kid.

i like how the formula is so far and the mini-games, i will miss the coins but stars is not a bad idea

That's denied. There is Story Mode for one player, though.

I think it's for both modes... both Solo Mode and Party mode, because I think it's now the new thing to have these game spaces.

It's something new, of course... but yeah, I think I will like it, even if it's not the same at all! I will enjoy it!

I don't think it's weird. I actually prefer that things are changed up instead of only playing minigames at the end of every turn.
My main issue was the slow gameplay, but this game seems to speed everything up based on the great gameplay videos that were shown.

I also approve of this new way of unlocking minigames(if they're not unlocked from the start XD).
