I own the Wii remake and this game is just so much fun. I loved the special games (The Chain Chomp one is just so much fun) and I actually thought the Power Shots were really interesting. Did you like the game?

The special games are what really make the difference, as well as the Power Shots.

Never played any of the Mario Tennis RPGs, either.
But Mario Power Tennis was awesome. It had those fancy Power Shots and gimmicky courts, which were nice to play on.
Special Games were a nice addition, although it didn't really get you anything except for high scores.

The special games do make this one stand out, it was one of my most played Gamecube games, and it was pretty fun. The only thing I hate is when I'm going against computer Peach and her offensive power shot can hit from far range.
The best mario sports game on the gamecube for me.I liked the power shots,roster and the special games.Mario tennis open was just not as good.
I like that game. I just wished that Open had powershots, they were fun to use and brought excitement to matches. (instead of having the stale back and forth hits).

Yes, they did. Extremely lazy, Open fails in comparison to Power Tennis. I believe I only played Open for the first week it launched and haven't touched it since. Online is rather laggy, something you wouldn't want in a tennis game. It's not my internet connection as MK7 works with little lag.

It's like if Nintendo made Rosalina fart and vomit in a game. Daisy is supposed to be a tomboy and tomboys don't wear dresses. It's just so god damn out of character and just makes Daisy THAT much more of a Peach clone. In Power Tennis Daisy wore her shorts and Peach was in a dress like it should be.

MPT was a rather fun game and was a welcome addition to the Mario spin-off family. It was enjoyable and while I prefer MT64, Power Tennis had its own fun qualities and features as well.
The only thing that really saddened me in this game was the lack of playable Toad and Toadette. That really upset me in that aspect.
