Winchell was a TV actor, puppeteer, inventor, medical researcher, and voice actor who won a Grammy for his role as the voice of Tigger in Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too. He was also the voice actor for the character Gargamel in the Smurfs TV show and the voice of Dick Dastardly on the Yogi Bear Show. And he invented and patented the first artificial heart!

The V-shaped section inside a horse's hoof is known as the frog. It is has a rubbery composition that probably serves as a shock absorber for the horse on smooth ground. It also functions as a pump to force blood from the legs back up into the horse's heart.

Timothy, a naturalist and documentary filmmaker, and his girlfriend Amie Huguenard were killed in a bear attack in 2003 in Katmai National Park. Treadwell's video camera operated for the first six minutes during the attack before running out of tape. Six minutes was time enough to record the sounds of the horrific attack. The tape has never been played publicly.
