Do you think there will be a Mario Party for the 3DS & Wii U?

Considering how there isn't a section for speculation on the future of Mario Party, I guess this is a good spot for this thread.

Anyways, what do you guys think about Nintendo making Mario Party for the 3DS & Wii U? Not saying we should expect more than MP9 this year. Mario Party in 3D would be an interesting idea and there are a lot of possibilities for Mario Party on the Wii U (like how the Wii U controller uses Near-Field Connection).

We've seen Mario Party 9 introduce the car mode, so what innovations do you think Nintendo can bring to the Mario Party franchise with 3DS & Wii U iterations?

There is actually a board for future Mario Party Discussion. However, that board is in the archives.

And I think it's very likely that it would happen for both platforms. A Mario Party for the 3DS would make sense in a way, in which it would be the third Mario Party for the handhelds. And Mario Party 10 will likely be on Wii U, since Mario Party 9 is coming soon and we have the Wii U launch in Holiday 2012. But there might only be one of each, though. It may seem that they are taking the path of one Mario Party game per console/handheld direction now, like Mario Kart is.

And I'm not sure what other innovations there might be. They're trying to find ways to speed up game play, so the car mode is one of them.

They might just port over 9 to 3ds. reducing the graphics.
Eh, I doubt it. I'd hope that they would try to come up with something new for a Mario Party for the 3DS (whilst still keeping some old things......) If they did do that, they probably wouldn't reduce the graphics a drastic amount compared to the Wii's graphics. 3DS games do look an awful lot like Wii games most of the time.

As much as I can't wait for Mario Party 3D & Mario Party 10, I do hope we get at least a year break before they announce the games, especially if they go the Mario Kart route (which I hope they stick with) and release only one Mario Party on the 3DS & Wii U. (Besides, they could add new mini-games, characters & boards via DLC.)

Well” what im thinking is they'll comeout with Mario Party 3D in 2016 which will be the end of the 3DS life span and Mario Party 10 in either 2014 or 2015 but eitherway these games! are gonna be a blast to play when they comeout! :)

Also have Mario Party both in 3D and being able to use the Wii U Gamepad to play certain minigames is gonna be one heck of a party for us Mario Party fans! xD

Why? Why would they release it then?

To be honest, I don't really think they will make a Mario Party for the 3DS or Wii U, I think that ND Cube just wanted t work on 9 and nothing else. Of course I am probably wrong but I just have that feeling.

The reason for 2016 for Mario Party 3D” is cuz at the end of the 3DS life span” what more to say good by to an awesome handheld” then to have a Mario Party ;)

Also” to me thats wat my gut is telling me. :/

Also the reason i think MP10 will release is cuz it's still Nintendo's Cashcow Series, and they wouldn't end the series on an odd number" 10 i think would/probably will be the last Mario Party, and the Gamepad would make use of alot of good minigames, and would make the series more fun for both old & new Mario Partiers. :)

Also my reason for the release dates 2014 or 15” is cuz that would give them plenty of time to think of ideas, and See how the Last MP Game should be made.

If there's one thing I would really like to see in the near future, it would be of course a new Mario Party game on one of these two consoles. (I would personally prefer on the Wii U because of how I mostly play on my home consoles.) I think there would probably be a new game for the upcomming consoles (at least, I hope it would be true) because I think it would be something good for these two, and with, of course, a new way to play with some really good graphics and gameplay. It's time to let the time flies and to see then...
