Today was soccer game. Mexico vs. El Salvador.

I thought the World Cup was in 2006, not 2008.

Anyway, i'm not into soccer (World Cup) much but sometimes I watch it. Last time Aus. got kicked out of it by Italy getting tripped and got the penalty and won.

As for 2010, I'm hoping Australia can better their first knockout round appearance in 06.

You should of seen me when Mexico won. xD I was the one of the few of my friends rooting for Mexico.
I'll be rooting for Mexico and Italy this year.

Yep. Both are in. But it sucks that we won't see Ronaldinho this year.

First two games are on June 11 with Group A :

South Africa VS. Mexico
Uruguay VS. France

I don't know why this was locked but its unlocked now.

South Africa and Mexico 1-1. It was a pretty good game to start off the World Cup. In the beginning it looked like Mexico was going to score and take the win but South Africa picked it up and scored a beautiful imo. Mexico scored 10 minutes before the game ended tieing it 1-1.

France Vs. Uruguay is about to start in 2 minutes.

Germany gave a beating to Australia today with a 4-0 score. Germany really knows how to handle the ball and the Australian defense did pretty bad. And this red card was totally uncalled for :

The knockout round is here and the matches start tomorrow.  The US got screwed multiple times,  but we advanced.  I think if they play as hard against Ghana as they did against Slovenia or Algeria, there's a good chance they will advance to the quarterfinals.

Great game today with Spain and Germany. Germany was very weak today and Spain deserved the win. Final score 0-1. The final game is this Sunday, Spain vs the Netherlands. We also have a game Saturday for third place with Uruguay and Germany.

I've never liked the World Cup, because Soccer isn't an exciting sport. Why can't they (U.S.) actually try for a change? But then again i'm glad we don't win and have riots around the city streets.

I kinda hoped the Netherlands would of won the cup since my last name is Dutch but still congrats to Spain.

I wanted the Netherlands to win as well. Spain beat Germany and Germany deserved to win. Spain made me loose $7.
