10. Clockwork Soldiers

Inanimate toys suddenly coming to life to attack anyone in their way. Wait, haven't I seen this before?

Oh yeah, Banette did that too.

9. Sue Pea

The sleeping boo-ty, Sue Pea has a nice appearance. Of course, girls can't be like that without some attitude. She attacks with dolls! Mimi has some competition here.

Take Whack-a-Mole and turn it into a haunted mansion game. Quite an interesting concept.

7. Sir Weston

The ghostly relative of Popo and Nana is actually quite challenging. He isn't as hard as, let's say, Quick Man, but he still pulls off a good fight. He also has a neat concept.

Though he still can't beat the powerful cuteness that is Ice Man.

6. Madame Clairvoya

The fortune teller of the portraits warns Luigi of Bowser's arrival - which is actually King Boo's suit. Once her purpose is fulfilled, she returns back to her portrait, in order to escape Bowser's rule. Pokemon Heroes Latios anyone?

5. Vincent Van Gore

This phantasmal artist is said to have created the ghosts of the mansion using his artistic powers. His fight is very fun and he also has a nice concept. Adeleine would be shocked when she finds out about this!

4. Melody Pianissima

This pianist from the requiem that looks like Megurine Luka shows herself as a talented musician. Her fight is simple, but enjoyable. She has a neat concept, and as a bonus, you can listen to SMB3 Athletic or SMB Underwater!

3. Boolossus

This coloussus of 15 Boos shows himself with an interesting concept and a great battle. He also is set to appear in Dark Moon!

2. Bogmire

The shadow of the dead reveals himself with a stunning appearance. Bogmire defines "undead" through his origins and background. He has a great battle and one great concept.

With nine ghosts out of the way, just who is my favorite portrait ghost of all time?

1. King Boo

This. The king of the ghosts stands out as my favorite portrait ghost ever, as well as one of my favorite main characters. His appearance in Luigi's Mansion is quite sinister compared to some other games (especially King Derp in Sunshine). His fight is one satisfying final battle, with fireballs, inhalation, spiked balls, and ice balls. He is also skilled at golf, karting, baseball, skiing, ball racing, and badminton. However, the main reason King Boo is on this list is that he performs his villainous duties very well in keeping Luigi from rescuing Mario and trying to capture him.

Pretty good list except the only thing I didn't like were that most of these were from the later areas.

I personally enjoyed Mr. Luggs as well as Orville and Henry. I do agree that Jarvis was an interesting twist and expected him to be higher.

Nice list there, I'd agree with most of these besides Boolossus because of the boos always smacking me silly. Its a nice battle though. King Boo is one of my favorites as he has a variety of attacks, highest HP and theme. I like Mr Luggs and Spooky as portrait ghosts as they were more aggressive than the others. I didn't know Boolossus is in Dark Moon..... It'll be a pleasant surprise to see him return.

It's not quite Boolossus, but a Boo that fights in a similar manner (combining into one giant Boo).

Oh, its an obvious reference to Boolossus then, I guess he fights differently then. Thats cool.
