DK because of his mid-range attacks and his simian punch kills, luigi comes in second because of his shouryken and he jump high. Dr. mario comes in third because of his pills and he hit hard.

I use Zelda and Samus. Zelda has a nice and powerful ranged attack (the red fireball thingy) and Samus B-Charge attack is deadly if used properly.
I'm going to be the odd man out; however, my main has always been Pichu. I always chose the little guy for some reason whenever I played Melee (it was a challenge, but it sure was satisfying to beat others using him).
My other mains include Dr. Mario and occasionally Mewtwo.

My favorites were Zelda, Peach, Ice Climbers, Kirby, Sheik, Yoshi, Pikachu, and Pichu. I loved playing as Pichu and Sheik the most because I usually beat others using them.

Peach and Zelda/Sheik were my favourites, Peach just owns and I like Zelda because of her magical attacks and being able to transform into Sheik. I also like to use Ness, Link, Luigi and Samus.
Kirby because he has a cool moveset,captain falcon because of his punch and Mario.
