Complaint About the Staff

FREEDOM OF SPEECH? BANNED.

And I just like to say thanks for all of the compliments for me, everyone. Just doin' my job. =P

I was thinking that we get rid of the Mod status completely and have 3-5 Global Mods. Modding the video games section is a start, but all of these other boards needs some serious clean-up.

We have seen members like PartyPopStar get banned, but notice how SZ went waaaaay too easy on him in the beginning. Sure, he finally took our 6:1 member ratio on him getting the banhammer, but notice how in the beginning he said "I need some proof first guys." You could clearly just check his posts log or check the SBox History, it's not that hard. Also, I think SZ only banned him for a month. Bashing religion and insulting members along with other rule violation clearly results in a much longer ban, if even permanent. To tell you the truth, I actually gave PPS TWO chances at shaping up, but he acted liked an asshole, so he had to go bye-bye. I like to give people chances first, but once they act up again, I will have some sort of punishment for them. These Mods here (Except Ether, MLYW and somewhat VIP) pay absolutely no attention to the kind of members that do this sort of crap, and they give them infinite chances. They need to be more assertive and they need to remind the members that they are breaking the rules.

We also seriously need to temp ban these new immature members like gamegamer. I'm sorry, either he's a little young to be on a forum or whatever, but he's plaguing this forum with a lot of spammy posts.
 
Yea I never got why SZ always asked for evidence to convince him that a member should be banned, he used to do that to me and TT too. It's not our fault he's not that active, he should just trust his staff instead because they (should) know what they're doing. And having 3-5 G-Mods would probably be a good idea considering the few options for staff members out there right now, just promote Aegis and Ether, drop the rest of the mods, problem solved. But SZ might still want mods so I still say drop the 3 mentioned earlier (berrylancy, yoshi1, kingboo) and put in at least Tovarisch in the staff. Well actually if the staff is gonna reconstruct you might as well give Aegis an inevitable promotion to G-Mod and work from there.

And don't just ignore people like me's suggestions for new mods, cause you guys haven't done a good job picking them out yourselves.

lulz Berrylancy. Anyway, I noticed i've been directing some people with those topics on the Mario Parties boards, sucks I can't move them though. But i'd like to suggest me and Kinetic to take over the Mario Party Boards... And maybe let Ama mod the "Serious Discussion" since she's very smart.
 
A lot of complaints and suggestions. This is exactly what we need. Like Vip said, we are planning on "re-structuring" this coming Saturday so thanks for putting in your input and suggestions. So in the days before Saturday, the admins will be planning everything out and preparing what we will change, improve, take out, etc. and we will have the Forum in Maintainence Mode that day, until we are finsihed.

And to point out a complaint that I leave for months. You guys all know that I do this as part of my religion, right? Every Advent (4 weeks before Christmas) and every Lent (40 days before Easter), I give up electronics for that period of time. Once that period time is over, I am back on the Forum. When the I first did this on the Forum, it was for Lent of 2008 nad I left without saying a word. My mistake. Shame on me. But ever since then I have made it clear why I leave during these times. And I always say when I leave and when I got back. Vip suggested there be admins in control while I was gone and so for the last year, there has been. I guess all I can say is that I am disappointed that some of you do not respect some of the things I do as part of my religion.

I respect all that you do for your religion. My grandmother is very religious. I go to church with her every week.

SZ we respect what you do for your religion but do you have to give up electronics every year? You don't have to give up the same thing every year.

SZ we respect what you do for your religion but do you have to give up electronics every year? You don't have to give up the same thing every year.

It's just like smoking, it's addictive, (I don't smoke), but it's great for SZ to give up electronics. It's also healthier for everyone to give them up so they can go play outside. (Just saying, shouldn't this be stickyed?)
 
I'm all for getting 5 G-Mods in. Drop Berrylarry and Yoshi1 (who never even is really active) and this is a start that things will be making a positive change.

I don't have to give up the same thing. And I don't want to sound all religious here, but the point of giving something up is to get closer to God and when there are no electronics, there is a lot of time that is free and opened up, and the day is a lot more calm, you get closer to family (through boredom sometimes :p), more time thinking with God, etc. It used to be something that I did because I kinda had to, but now I understand why and it something I'm okay with doing every year.

And I have been breaking my own rules a bit. After what happened during Advent in 2009, each time I would leave, I started checking up on the Forum every once in a while and allowing email. This last Lent I checked the Forum and Site at least once every week to see if its still up and running. :p And I told the admins to contact me through mail if they ever needed me which I checked more often. So I want to be able to be here but I don't want to give up what I'm giving up.

I disagree. Some of these users are swearers/trolls. The forum is undergoing with some heavy swearing and arranged swearing (words that disguise themselves swear words), and I really dislike it. High school is getting closer, so I think I may be mod for this Summer.

Anyways, I'm an older member than most of you new and active members, so that's another reason why I should be mod. However, I've been annoying other people, and they will strike back. It makes me feel irritated.

Please. If you make me mod, I can completely get rid of swearing and replace them with safe substitutes. Mario Party is designed for kids, and we don't want teens and young adults to fill this place with swearing.

There's another reason why we DON'T want you as a mod: because you complain about idiotic things and you keep begging to be a mod, only to lead us to turmoil and annoyance. It'll make the site a boring tuna.

This is why you can't be a mod Charizard, you hate too many people you would ban people in like a sec, so you can't be trusted wih such power. And also, you have to be 13 to even join this site, so why do we need to make this place for kids? The only thing it will do is make people leave and destory the forum. And what's with the "we"? You and who else? You seriously have to learn to deal with things, seriously. >_>

On another bright note, he claims to be 14, when he doesn't even act like a 14-year-old. Take it from the person that is actually 14, but looks older than that, for some reason. >_>

Mario Party is designed for all ages hence the "E for everyone" rating. The sooner you get that through your thick skull the better
