We had it on the track to becoming a decent site until SZ randomly left for months without telling anyone. Thats when I lost all hopes for the site (and it became the supermariosexyforum lol).

For example a few years ago Cookieboy used to be a spammer who wanted to be a mod. over time I and others helped him turn into a great member

The serious discussion board is a joke. Half the topics could go in General Discussion. The other half are over run by members who are too immature to actually discuss the topic. Like any of the topics related to drugs. I'm not saying people should be pro-drugs, but posting "people who do drugs are stupid" does not move the conversation forward.

I just think that on this forum, given how many immature members there currently are, it needs to be by request only or something. Cause all those immature people detract from any good conversation that might be able to take place there. I don't want to discuss drugs with someone who's only opinion is "DRUGS ARE BAD BECAUSE D.A.R.E. SAID!".
I knew it was going in a wrong direction after it started in January 2008. SZ should have said something, but it was his fault, and left without telling us. One small reason was that Ash Wednesday and Easter in 2008 came unusually early, hence "Extreme Easter" because it fell on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 and Sunday, March 23, 2008, respectively. This Lent threw everyone here off.
And yes, there were spam during Lent 2008, but that was because we thought the site might be purged with no activity for 40 Lent days.
I didn't know much back then, but I done some more research over time and I know what things I could manage here. Indeed, I was a bit of a spammer back then, but I needed a little help, although it was minimal help I received.

I know that me and several other members helped you a lot VIP, you're a good member now but you definitely had some major issues to overcome (and i'm glad to say I helped you overcome those).

Yeah, think about some of the people from old SMPSF who really turned into good posters. Tovarisch, Snowy, VIP. All were noobish and with some help and maturity they all became great members
I really enjoy helping new members, it makes me feel good when I turn a spammer into a good member.
