I personally am neutral about liking Yoshi's old voice. It's unique, I'll give you that though. However, it's extremely simple and I don't think the voice would do Yoshi any good in the more newer Mario games where more voice clips are required as most of his voice clips in the earlier games were simply recycled versions of the original SMW Yoshi sounds.
However, I do prefer it at times over Yoshi's newer voice. His voice at the time being sounds rather whiny to me with each new game to come (especially in SMG2). Though it's no surprise considering that his new voice was inspired by cries of the Baby Yoshis in Yoshi's Story.

I liked Yoshi's old voice a lot. It is a great sound to hear.
Yoshi's old voice is only good in the side-scrolling old Mario games. It's only one sound! The way they mix and manipulate it in the early Mario Parties... it's just weird sounding.

thinking about it, I COULD NOT imagine Yoshi with his current voice replacing the squeaking noises Yoshi would make. It's just too awkward. =P
yoshi's old voice was cool in all but i still think yoshi's new voice is better
I'm used to the new Yoshi now anyway.
