Wiggler's Garden (MPDS)

This board was the first Boaed in Mario Part DS. Wiggler's asks you to stop the Piranha Plant from ruining his garden. This board has one item shop and One hex spot. The happening spaces made you lose or get coins depending on which one you landed on. This board was also meant to be called Petey's Greenhouse but was replaced with wiggler.

This is my favourite board in Mario Party DS. It was fun to play and I liked how Wiggler got to host a board. The only annoying this is there is only one item shop so it's hard to go shopping as everyone usaully stays in the top area.

Personally, I think this is an example of bad board design... :/

This was horribly designed, seriously, they really didn't try with this board and instead made the stupidest decisions possible.

First off, there is only ONE Shop and ONE Hex spot, everyone gets that one Hex spot, but the shop is an OPTION, and most of the time that option is IGNORED due to the other path being shorter. Of course, there is the problem of how everything leads to the middle, with various things THAT CAUSE YOU NOT TO RISK going outside of the middle (despite the Venus Fly Traps being a problem...) the risky things are the two Bowser spaces right before start, and the 3 Happening spaces for Piranha Plant having a chance at causing you to lose coins. Not to mention, the only thing that could have made the board better was instead put in the STUPIDEST place possible, and I am talking about the two Happening spaces which send you back to start, both of which are on the ONLY ROUTE TO GET THERE. Seriously, of all things they should have swapped with the Venus Fly Trap Happening spaces, and the board could have been DECENT, but no, they instead wasted it and made it a shortcut (or a middle finger if the star was right in front of you) that ignored the two pointless Bowser spaces. The fact that the design was made this way made it REALLY hard to get an item and hex from a turn that WASN'T THE FIRST (or first few) TURNS.

Not to mention, these issues are especially seen with the computers, whose AI forces them to make the "best" decisions, which typically lead them to NEVER LEAVING THE CENTER or going around to RETURN TO THE CENTER. The chances of them passing start again is slim. The only time they would go to the shop is if a star was in that one path. This board had potential, but they just screwed that potential up. Another shop and Hex space would have been VERY useful, but would have actually made the board look shorter than it already is... :/

I hated this board as well. Not only was it super short, but the lack of areas to get items, the Venus Fly Traps and Red Spaces all cramped together, the 3 Green Spaces at the Piranha Plant, and only one way out of the middle ring made this board really flawed. Normally, I check where I'm going to land on my turn when I reach a fork. So when I find out I'm going to land on Piranha Plant, I immediately re-enter the ring for another round! And because there is no Item Shop nearby, I won't be able to buy any Double or Triple Dice Sets anyways! As well, I hate it when the Star Space is on the Watering Can because it's so easy to get there on the first turn but you don't have enough coins to buy it, so you'd have to go all the way back around if everyone passed it on the first turn.

I hate how there is only one Item Shop, I never seem to get to it on this board. But this board is a classic pay 20 Coins to get the Star. So, yes, I do like it.

Lots of traps here where you can lose Coins though. (those damn plant traps) >:E

Late post O-o

I think devs tried too hard to shrink board size and as such they compensated on quality events, lack of item shops/hex zones, and bad arrangement (double Bowsers, ring of death)

It's probably the worst board imo since it's not gimmicky and too small.

Petey Piranha would be as big as two DKs in the tiny MPDS world :p

(Also, I get loads of Stars on Kamek's Library with Triple DIce... Hexes are space traps :p)
