Just don't make it similar to MP8, MP8 was horrible, no candies, no Ballyhoo, better boards and minigames, and etc... I would like to see items or orbs back, it was way better.

Definitely no Candies. Support for GCN controllers would be nice, though I realize it's unlikely (at least give us different modes of play for other Wii-based controllers). Oh, and NO DUD SPINS AFTER WINNING DUEL MINIGAMES. Better yet, let us go back to being able to choose what we want to bet! Geez.
- Absolutely no luck minigames. These were in almost ALL Mario Parties (if not all). And that's stupid. Especially for duel minigames. I have a star on the line and I have to lose it due to luck? That's stupid. Or, at LEAST give us the option to choose what genre minigames we want.
- Also, like the others said, better minigames. A lot of them had no replay value, and were pretty pointless.
- As well as the boards. they were mostly stupid. The only ones I liked were Koopa's Tycoon Town and Goomba's Booty Boardwalk. Bowser's Warped Orbit was terrible.
- Also, I don't know if it was like this forsomeone else, but MP8 on my Wii wasn't fullscreen. Any other Wii game fit the entire screen. So fix that, too, please.
- No blooper.
- More modes. MP8 only had five. The others had 6+, I believe.
- More minigame modes. same as above.
- Lack of decathlon mode. That was awesome. 'Shame that MP8 didn't have Decathlon.
- More that I can't think of right now.

If they're going to let us wager what we want, I hope you get to see what mini-game you play before you wager. I've wagered stars before and I lost due it being a luck mini-game. If they're going to put luck mini-games, please don't put luck mini-games in battle/duel.
If they let us wager. For some reason they figured wagering was actually a strategical part of Mario Party so they took it out and replaced it with a luck wheel/dart thingy. I really don't understand the logic in taking away wagering when the prize is so random.Yoshi8984 said:

Also, was I the only one to notice the gameplay in MP8 wasn't very smooth when compared to its Cube (and N64) counterparts? Mostly during when characters traveled boards. It's hard to tell by the trailer, but I hope they fix it in MP9, even if it is just a minor pet peeve.

The boring minigames (shake a can, really?) and the odd interface (they didn´t see Mario enough...).
i never played mario party 8 and from these post i dont want to. i always figure that every maio party games gets worse and worser i think they should make mario party 9 like n64 mario party's. and please bring my main back dk bez char also have a say in games and dk mini-games are just plain boring.

This is kinda different because I can't explain it well enough with the topics name, but I would like to see the mini game list in the instruction booklet again since the gamecube games always did, and MP8 didn't have them.
