Ways of receiving items

There are always different ways of getting items in Mario Party. Which is your favourite?

Mine is the Random and Free from MP6-8 & DS because it was free and also brings in a variety of items.

The Shop, because you could buy some items that you can't find on boards or games.

The Shop. You usually got every item on the list unlike recent Mario Party games where there are only 3 random ones. After the shop I would say the orb/candy/hex space thing since they are free.

Shop and Item Minigames are the best, because one require skill, the other require coins.
And getting items so randomly is only good for amateurs.
