I now have 117 stars. I played a lot today. And I was getting every star in each world until halfway through the third world where I decided to go and get to the final boss.

I have 170 stars. Its getting to the point where I get 1 or 2 stars every day or so. I like since I will probably still be playing it all through the summer. And I'm getting the green stars in order so I have done all of them from World 1-3 and I'm on World 4 now.

Question: How can you get 242 stars? Because I don't believe that when you say it.
Edit: Just checked my save file and it turns out I really have 88 stars.

There's 120 regular Power Stars.

Once you get all of those, then 120 Green Stars appear.

Update on progress: Gotten 90th star and access to Stone Cyclone Galaxy. It's essentialy the Fast-Foe Challenge of Beach Bowl in SMG1 with a Silver Star injection.
