Item range and 3-item capacity
Generally good minigames (and the absence of repeats I guess) - need to play again to remember the average ones
Cool octagonal space design
Peach's VO (Jen Taylor I think?)

Game Guy (particularly in Duel Mode)
I wasn't a fan of Action Time for some reason, probably since the first time I played I failed the snowball jumping one >.>
Story Mode a bit long

A bit obscured of a rating since my minigame experiences aren't fresh, but 7.5-8/10 for now

Mario Party 3 is awesome! It's my second favorite of the N64 games(MP2 is my favorite, by the way). 8/10! Here are pros and cons of the games.

Pros:
The games includes so much more things than the first two, which made it real better and improved.
The minigames! Most were good, but some had frustrated me at times. But overall, very good minigames.
Daisy and Waluigi! Finally we have two new additions to the party. It's not the biggest or the most exciting new addition, but it is a good one.
Boards! The boards in this game were really good. They were bigger and had real good themes to them.
Duel Mode! It wasn't the best new feature introduced in the game, but it did change the party up in a really good way.

Cons:
The computer players are often hard no matter what difficulty they're set on, mostly in minigames.
Like MP2, this game lacks the addition of more than 6 boards. But it's something that can easily be ignored.

Mario Party 3 is a good game overall. Mario Party 3 = 8/10
 
This is my favorite Mario Party. It was the first Mario Party I ever played and I had so much fun playing it. I loved pretty much every mini-game on this. Mini-games like Picture Imperfect, Messy Memory and Treadmill Grill are so much fun. Chilly Waters is my all time favorite board. Even though its a simple concept I find it so much fun. 9/10. Some of the boards were lacking interest though. And Mario's Puzzle Party is the stupidest minigame ever
 
My opinion hasn't changed much as I would give Mario Party 3 the highest rating out of all the Mario Parties. This Mario Party had one of best soundtracks and Story Mode ever. The minigames were great and only had a very detestable minigames ( Frigid Bridges, End of the Line). It has my personal favorite boards that have plenty of strategy involved in them. This game is also the first Mario party to introduce Princess Daisy to the cast and has her early Peach-like design. Tumble was the best host in my opinion and Toad had a nice support role included, he also hosts item minigames and the minigame room.

I would give this Mario Party a perfect 10 out of 10! Despite its cons as every Mario Party has a least one. Game Guy is not that bad either, its Chance Time that bothers me.
 
Best Mario Party imo. The storyline, and battle modes were interesting to play. Introducing Daisy and Waluigi to the game made it more fun to choose from 8 people instead of 6.

The boards were great, minigames are worth playing repeatedly, duel maps were interesting for the series. A 10/10 for me in this Mario Party.
