Heyy guys this is a topic for ocarina of time just post some likes and dislikes and what some of your fav parts are and stuf like that!
I personally loved this game becasue it was the first one to be like all 3D looooknig and i though Link looked wayy cute as a kid and hot as an adult. I liked the concept of like having songs to figure out puzzles and i lovved epona. I kinda thouht that the temples were kinda to easy but the fact that they were all 3D with lots of detail really got my attention. (lol a little long)

I really love this game, personally the storyline was nice and the idea from traveling trough time. Also riding a horse was so nice. The graphics were great, since there was no other better graphics those days, it was nice. Now if we compare Twilight Princess' graphics and Ocarina's graphics, the one from Twilight are naturally better, but the story isn't. Ocarina was harder than Twilight, also funnier. I like having a fairy that follows us during the adventure. The temples were great, now in the current games, the ideas are pretty the same, it's just the name that changes, like Water Temple and Lakebed Temple. The ocarina was cool, playing songs and I'm happy that they introduced something like that in Wind Waker. Also the final boss was awesome, the other bosses too, like Phantom Ganon or something like that in the forest temple. The monsters were scary in Hyrule's market.

The game was great, but Wind Waker comes before(from the zelda series)

Wind Waker is after.

hahaha.

This "review" is hilariously bad. Don't quit your day job, Daisy.

Anyways, never played this before. Not much of a Zelda person.

I don't know why but I never like this game much. It seemed boring and didn't keep my attention. The graphics certainly didn't help. I also had trouble on some of the temples and what to do in the game. I never finished. I got about halfway there and got bored. I liked the LoZ ones on the DS, GBA, and Wind waker.

I thought I would bring discussion on the game back up after a mention during this week's podcast. A lot of people love this game, including me, but I know there are people that either could not get into it or simply didn't like it.

I think it's important to note when the game was played and how many Zelda games have you played before it. For me, this was my first Zelda and I played it maybe a year or two after it was released.

At the time of this post, I had only played the first 3 Zelda games (I, II, and Link to the Past). I think Link to the Past is one of the greatest games in the SNES library, but the first 2 NES games left me with a "meh" feeling.

I then got around to playing OoT a year later and I found the game to be utterly stale and unappealing. Not trying to troll, but the very atmosphere in OoT was grieving. The controls were too constricted for me.

I then played Skyward Sword and holy shit. That's what a true Zelda game should be like. Free, responsive, and filled with excitement. OoT didn't get me lifted at all due to its slow pacing.

When you played OoT for the first time, what other games did you play up to that point? For me, it was just some of the N64 classics like SM64, Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong (this might have been after). Some Spyro as well. So it was definitely epic and super expansive for me. I was also 7 or 8. :p Not saying the game is for little kids with big imaginations, I'm just giving a little bit of my background. :p
