Now, I have only rented this game, and I must say....

IT'S AWESOME! I know this is kind of latent considering I rented this with from friends a couple of weekends ago, but I must say MP9 is an EXCELLENT game! I was blown away by the mini-games-  they were lots of fun - by far the best part! The board gameplay was intriguing as well! It was me and two other friends - and no computer. We played two rounds- one on Toad Road and one on Boo's Haunted Castle of Horror. The first round, I beat my competition into the ground! ( can't remember by how much). But the second round, I got royally screwed over by the boos floating around! haha, it was all still fun, though. Honestly, even though luck is a larger element in this installement, I don't think it works to its detriment - it keeps me on the edge of my feet until the end is reached! I did just  one-day rental ( buying the game during the semester would be too much of a distraction.. haha), but luckily, the semester is nearing its end ( May1  - woot woot!) and you better believe I'll be purchasing this game! I'm most excited to play Blooper Beach!  ;D

The game is definitely a lot of fun. The problem for me was that I started the Solo Mode first and I got a bad impression right off the start. You are lucky enough that you haven't played the game by yourself yet.

It truly is a lot of fun. Mini-games were very exciting, and feels so polished. I went for Mini-Games and Extras Modes first to get the basics of playing mini-games, then I played the boards. Despite the luck, it's really fun to play.

This game is truly awesome! You should definitely buy it, after the renting is over.

Yeah the multiplayer aspect of the game is really fun. Like as long as no one takes it too seriously it's a good party game.

That can be said of most MP games though. The multiplayer aspect of the game is always better than the solo mode because that's what the game was centered towards in the beginning. No one plays Mario Party for the single player aspect. If you do that you end up never playing it again because there's always that one game where the computer royally screws you over 500 times lol. I'm getting MP 9 via gamefly and can't wait to play it with my friends.

Thank you! Finally someone who doesn't see chance as a super bad thing. I hope you don't change your mind when you play Solo Mode though, because it seems like most people get angry there and when they completely blame chance for losing (whenever you play it)
