With the confirmed Nintendo 3DS, that includes high quality graphics (I'm guessing 480p quality since it will look nice since it's in a small screen and will make the system not so expensive), a touch screen, gamecubish graphics, 3D visuality, and an accelerometer, could this possibly make a true Mario Party? If done well, it will be tons of fun. What do you think could Mario Party use the 3DS as their advantage to making a great, fun and better game?

Maybe it's the New Mario Party. Maybe that's why Nintendo was delaying. Maybe that's why Charles Martinet said on his Twitter that it was goin to be crazy fun!!!!! Maybe it's a rumor.

Topic title changed for clarity.

Given the handheld nature of the 3DS, I believe that Hudson Soft (hereafter just HS because I'm feeling lazy) and Nintendo should definitely place WiFi as one of their top priorities - it was lacking in MPDS, and besides, the spirit of MP is multiplayer, and sometimes CPU matches aren't good enough.

I don't know what features the 3DS will have, so HS will have to make this potential title more appealing gameplay-wise, since they have their graphical bases covered already >_>

Well, there could be a Mario Party DS 2, but I think it'd be unlikely due to the fact that Nintendo DS is close to the end of the span and Nintendo 3DS getting the spotlight, so probably the Mario Party 3DS. If that has online, it just might be better. It might make sense for it to have it named Mario Party 3DS, since that would be the third Mario Party in the handheld department.

Yeah. Online would be nice. The reason Nintendo didn't include Wifi in MPDS, is that they didn't really want to deal with lag or how to deal with the game when somebody rage quits the game. I think the game should automatically replace quitters with computers in online playing. That would at least prevent the game from needing to stop.

Just be thankful we have 9 right now. :p Honestly I'd rather have Mario Party 10 on the WiiU than Mario Party 3DS. I'm just gonna go ahead and vote for the Mario Party shouldn't be on handheld because MPDS did feel pretty limited.
I liked the feel of MPDS though. I just didn't really like 1 or 2 of the boards and some minigames. But yeah, I'm just glad we got MP9 for now :p

I agree. But rage-quitters, there's a way, and that's to restrict online to friends only, not with random people like you can with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Just with friends, which decreases the chances of rage-quitting, as friends you know well are likely to play to the end of the game. For example, if you were playing Mario Party 3DS or Mario Party 9 (if it has online), along with, say cookieboy17 and Sunflora, we wouldn't stop in the middle of the game and just want to get to the end of the game.

I think it should be like Brawl and allow either methods. It's kind of irritating to only be able to play with friends, especially if their busy a lot of the time.

if they where to make Mario Party 11 for the 3ds what would you want to have in the game.
Me i would like to have more classic boards from the old mario parties and have more classic minigames also have 2 new comers and i want the new comers to be monty mole and bandit i think they would be a good edtion to the mario party series.
