Out of all the Mario Partys none of them really got "good" reviews. If you go to ign they dont give any of them that good of scores. They deserve better than 5s and 7s.

IGN is probably ignorant about how good they are actually. Despite the bad reviews, they're very popular.
I never really pay attention to critic's reviews, they take games too seriously in my opinion (same with movies)!

And I agree with Yoshiman222. Everyone has their own opinion on how the game is.
In IGN's case, Mario Party may be bad for them, but in our case, it's completely different, since well, we like and enjoy Mario Party. We like them because we grew up with them.
Well, MP9's first review came in at 86%, so there's still hope!

Bad review =/= bad game. There are tons of examples of games that get terrible scores yet are very fun.

The reason that IGN/Gamespot/Eurogamer/1up rates Mario Party games badly is because they think they lack originality. I disagree with them, since I don't really care about its originality, I just want to have fun! Mario Party series should be rated higher than 5s, 6s, and 7s. They should be 8s and 9s. :'(
