Birdo and Fire Bro. confirmed playable, sixth board confirmed, Toadette as a default character.

The Japanese Website says 12 Playable Characters and 5 boards, but they were wrong! There is now 14 Characters and 6 Boards.
- Birdo is a default playable character
- Fire Bro. is an unlockable playable character
This new board is modeled after Frosted Glacier from New Super Mario Bros. U, the bosses of this board are Cooligan and Mr. Blizzard.
 
Don't wanna be harsh, but why would Nintendo add Fire Bro and maybe Birdo? As VIP and Luma Party said, you need proof with links in order for us to believe it. And besides, if there were more boards, there would be 7, like MP9. Maybe there will be DLC with extras, who knows? Until then, don't make stuff up.

Correct. If you did have a source, we would find info possibly to be legit. Sadly, though, Dark Boo's signature is the perfect example for this topic.
