I don't like chance time/miracles or chance minigames at all; we've all seen 'em.

Rock, Paper, Mario
that stupid "pick a ride/character and hope he wins" from one of the N64 parties
Bowser's Big Blast
Game Guy
Merry go Chomp
Stacked Deck
Bowser's Bigger Blast
Coin minigames from MPA
that coin slot minigame from MP5
Pitifall
Trick or Tree
Strawberry Shortfuse (to an extent)
Deck Hands
Cut from the Team
Cardiators
that you're the bomb s***
Chips and Dips
and who could forget that Cheep Cheep Chance?
etc...

In my opinion, they are extremely cheap and seem like they're added at the last minute just to increase the minigame count. Seriously, what is the point of them? Why did Nintendo think it was a good idea to have them? No guaranteed win. Requires NO skill. Virtually nothing but pushing a button. And sometimes for battle minigames, too. Why should I have to risk 50 coins to a game purely of chance? Or if I'm dueling, why should I have to put a STAR on the line and then lose it to some pitifall or trick or tree crap? I hope MP9 and future MP's ditches this type of thing completely.

And don't even get me started on chance time or miracle spaces....

What about you guys? (btw don't feel discouraged if you like chance in Mario Party, this is just my opinion :p)

Well, luck minigames are fine as long as they aren't duel or battle minigames. I mean, for those types of minigames, my coins and stars are on the line! And I have to lose them just because of pure luck?!

But for 4-P minigames, I think it's fine, as you won't lose coins if you lose the minigame, but it's just that if you win you get 10 coins.

The good part about some of these minigames is that what happens to the losing character is HILARIOUS!!

I REEEEEAAAAAAAAAALLLY hate Luck mini-games. They are the bane of my existence. I just hate the general concept of the games, but no matter how good you are (unless you are a master at game manipulation of RNG) you will probably lose. The thing I hate most is when they are almost ALWAYS an option on the mini-game roulette, especially for Battle and Duel games. I swear, Chip and Dips is ALWAYS an option for a Battle Mini-game, and it probably has the highest chance of getting chosen. Not to mention, Cheep Cheep Chance appears just as often as Chip and Dips for Duel mini-games (really game programmers? >:/). I just hate it how they always need to have some dumb COMPLETELY luck based mini-game which pretty much acts like the item system in Mario Kart Wii, being to SCREW UP ALL THE GOOD PLAYERS WITH SOME GOOD OL' FASHIONED BULLS**T THAT YOU HAVE (almost) NO CONTROL OVER.

The only kind of luck mini-games are ones with at least SOME strategy to do it (instead of just choosing something without knowing anything). Now I can't think of many mini-games like that on the top of my head...

But on another note, certain games may be categorized as luck-based, but they are really just (easily) timing based.

However, a Mario Party without a luck mini-game means... bad players are screwed, but they could still be just a screwed from luck mini-games by not winning them. :Þ
