Golden Game Boy

The Seller of this Golden GameBoy Pocket Wants $1,200

Is crazy

GameBoys, bless them, have been through the wars – literally, in the case of this unit displayed at Nintendo World in New York – but not this unit, which may be the rarest GameBoy of them all.

A golden GameBoy Pocket to commemorate the 100th issue of Nintendo Power magazine, it's unknown exactly how many of these machines exist, but it's unlikely many survive in this condition: according to the seller, it's never been turned once, and subsequently survives without even a fingerprint or scratch on it. Perhaps that's why the seller feels justified in putting a "Buy it Now" price of $1,200 on the machine, but hey, free shipping.

A golden Game Boy? I'd like one, but Game Boy is so old now.

The problem is, it's expensive, as it is $1,200.

I'm surprised it's only going for $1,200, I'm surprised in the condition it's supposedly in and the apparent rarity of the Gameboys that the seller hasn't pushed the price up to somewhere in the region of $4000-5000

It looks cool, but i don't need one. I also thought you were talking about a GBA

[kinetic563]

No. I wouldn't waste money on that. Though, I would truly love to have it.

A gold one, it's the same thing as a normal GB, so I wouldn't get one.

My cousin has a golden color one but without the 100 Nintendo Power sticker.

I wonder if he'd get $500 for it...

But the one advertised should sell for 5000+. 1200 is an insult.

If I had an NFL contract, just for the hell of it, I'd buy that and keep it and put it in a glass case. =P

[Shaby]

Pfff, fake...
Jk, jk...xD

I don't think I would buy although it's rarity.

[Yoshi1]

Cool. I wouldn't buy it though.

I went to Gametraders the other day, and they had a golden game boy for seventy dollars. I would of laughed if it had the logo on it.

1200? This source says that it goes for 25000 http://www.techpowerup.com/6963/Golden_Gameboy.html

I wouldn't buy it even if I had the money. It sure looks nice but I wouldn't ever play it in public because someone would probably jack it
