Cherry-Go-Round (Mario Party DS)

In this mini-game, you must use your stylus on the touch screen and move it around in circles to make you swing a cherry. The faster you swing the cherry before the time runs out, the farther you will throw the cherry. Whoever throws their cherry the farthest wins.

It is known that the maximum score on this mini-game is 200 cm.

My best efforts on this are always pathetic. If only you swung it the other way, I could go so much faster! Don't enjoy this one.

I'm not really good at this one. I can beat computers on Easy and Normal, but if it is a difficulty higher than those two I am more than likely to lose. D:

What did you think of Cherry-Go-Round? I used to be really good at it but then the cherries stopped going as far.

Same here. When I first played the mini-game it seemed like the cherries went hell'a far. But now they seem to have a really short distance.

I find the key here to be the speed, shape and size of the circle you draw over and over. I like to hit my max speed before the first whistle even goes off. I have noticed that drawing ellipses as opposed to circles generates less distance, while large circles are just easier to control.

Record is 152.0 in, see other topic. (Hopefully quoted correctly)

Is there a trick to getting that kind of score?

H-J: did you read the top half of my post? >_>

VSM: <_< Maybe I didn't understood it, sorry.

Wait, hit max speed before whistle goes off?

Since VIP doesn't understand what "max speed before first whistle" means, I'll clarify:

You should begin spinning way before you get the 5 second countdown, so you can build up to your max spinning speed by the time the ditsy music starts. Then hold that through all 5 seconds.

Mind you, "max speed" needs to so you feel like you're almost carving the screen in a cramp frenzy >_>
