Cheating in Mini-games

Some people out there know that there is a way to cheat the system easily by spamming the pause button. In some mini-games, they try to avoid people cheating the timer by pausing and hiding whatever was on the screen, but other games cause you to know what is ahead before you are even near it.

One example is Ion the Prize from Mario Party 8, where you just constantly press the + button to pause the game while putting your wiimote in the direction required, this way you can easily get 100% (against computers, human players would get pissed at you P:).
This also works for things like Flip the Chimp, where you can constantly pause to enhance your reaction times and not get screwed by the broken mechanics.
Many mini-games in all Mario Parties can be manipulated using this cheat, even Toad in the Box from Mario Party 2 (as it allows you to press A at the right time to hit Toad, for the last one mainly, rather than hitting it blindingly).

But about this topic, have you ever cheated in a mini-game before? Was it absolutely necessary for you to cheat? Have you ever tried to cheat with friends over? Do you always cheat on a certain mini-game?
And finally, how many mini-games CAN you cheat on?

Discuss.

I'll be honest here. I cheat in mini-games where I have to press the buttons repeatedely and I can't press the other buttons because it'll slow me down or something like that(I use turbo). Like in Gondola Glide. But if I can press the other buttons and it won't affect me, I don't cheat. Also I cheat in Odd Card Out against CPUs, but that's it. I don't cheat if I'm playing with other people or people are watching. Even if I didn't cheat, I'd still win the party/mode anyways :p

I don't recall ever cheating in mini-games...but I do recall(when I was a little shit) changing the computer to be my controlled character and saying no to the Star when they got to it.

I play fair and square now.
