Don't forget about guarding; it blocks most attacks and will make you take no damage/chip damage. (really chip damage while guarding only comes from bosses :p)
(Leaf and Ice however have a unique guard as you do not even take chip damage but you still can't guard against attacks that will make you go flying if you get hit or suck you in, like a void or hit multiple times, like lasers)

Know all your moves of an ability and effects they can cause. (Such as go through walls, light up fuses, cut ropes, etc.)

Also, abuse the Spark, Water and Tornado abilities. XD
(Mainly Tornado since it has invincibility while you're spinning)

Well I don't know about Mirror since I barely guarded in Super Star (Ultra), but I'm sure you don't even take chip damage while guarding with Ice in KRtDL. :p
However you still get pushed around. But upon releasing the Ice Guard, there's a small hitbox that can damage enemies.

I always wondered what it'd be like having a Super version of Water, Parasol, Bomb, Tornado and Spark. XD

For Magolor EX, make sure you DO NOT get sucked into the void PLEASE. It does so much damage...
He can summon Ice Sphere Doomers to attack you (from a portal) so watch out for that.

You can duck under some of his attacks. I think there's this one attack where he can summon a bunch of portals with lasers coming out; the 3rd one he spawns you can duck under that one. You can duck under the thorns that appear with the 2 star portals on the side.

When he gets into the phase where you have to attack with Ultra Abilities, you have to use Snow Bowl, Grand Hammer (watch out when you try to suck it in though b/c for some reason touching the hammer hurts you >__>) and Ultra Sword. Also if you're low on health you can just keep on killing the enemies he spawns in hopes of finding food XD

For his 2nd phase... When he rips off the Ultra Sword, just go in the corner and duck. When he rips off the Grand Hammer, watch out for the falling icicles from the ceiling and the spikes on the floor. Also the floor is icy... Flare Beam is somewhat tricky to avoid and Monster Flame makes his flames attack vertically.

He will throw up enemies so you have a chance to get an ability (try to get the one you like, but watch out for Gordos)

Beware that he can turn the screen upside down. (I think this inverts your left/right controls but otherwise it's the same IIRC)

Favorite PK/PSI?
Offensive wise? Love PK/PSI Love/Rockin'. PK/PSI Starstorm rocks as well!

Healing? Lifeup Omega. I also like Refresh. Healing Gamma/Omega (Lucas' versions) are always nice to revive someone.

Any boss in a Kirby game that you found rather uninspired/boring?
In Kirby's Nightmare in Dreamland, I found Kracko rather boring.

From Amazing Mirror, I found Moley, King Golem and Gobbler pretty boring as well. Though Gobbler looks kinda scary IMO XD

From KRtDL, I found Mr. Dooter pretty boring. Same with Grand/Sphere Doomer.

From Kirby's Dreamland 3 Ado was somewhat boring.

Though I find Whispy boring in EVERY GAME XD
