I don't know. They could, but I imagine a card would have to be a very large size to actually fit as a board. They could do this to promote Mario Party 3DS.
It'd be a bit annoying for the poor sod who has to hold the 3DS lol
Could work I guess, but how would minigames work?

Not a bad idea. I wouldn't mind a something like that on the eShop. Plus, it would probably be leading up to a Mario Party on the 3DS because I'm pretty sure they wouldn't make (or update, idk) the engine for the 3DS without a full game in the works.

I was thinking a 3DS for each player, so minigames could work
Maybe they throw in some board type of thing that the AR cards could work on.
I'd guess the board could be constructed using AR cards that form parts of a board.
@Vaati - yeah, that'd make more sense

What's a AR?
Augmented Reality. Augmented Realty Cards that you can use with your 3DS for short games and fun interactions in 3D. Since you're getting a 3DS soon, you'll understand.cookieboy17 said:
I think a "Mario Party AR" should be like the old "Mario Party e": a pack of cards that were used to play mini-games in the
Gameboy Advance´s e-reader.
Gameboy Advance´s e-reader.
You know, I really thought it would be on a regular AR card.
