Yeah, people say 8 was bad, but where does DS stand? It isn't in most rankings and I was thinking about getting it so: Is it better than 8, worse, both being good, or both being bad?

Better than 8, I beat DS all the way, I just can't stand Kamek's Library, if it wasn't for that the Story mode would be great.
Eight was much better. Better roster, graphics and mini-games compared to the DS. If they make a Mario Party for the 3DS, I hope they put more effort into it.
DS and 8 both equally suck. .-.
Hm. DS had Toadette's Music Room, but 8 had Toadette playable....

I would have to go with Mario Party 8. Better rosters, few good mini-games, and larger boards. Bad story, though.
Mario Party DS was good, but the boards were very small, you could make a whole lap if you roll a high number by using the Triple Dice Set.

I liked DS better, it was more addicting and had overall better minigames in my opinion.
Decided to get DS because I got a gift card to Target yesterday. Better than I thought it would be. Boards ARE small but that is the only bad thing. DK's Stone Statue is awesome
8 all the way baby! Nice roster and underated graphics.
