I'm using Windows XP because screw vista because my laptop with Windows 8.1 is broken.

Has Microsoft even announced this? It kinda seems like a good idea, but I don't really see why they need to release another updated OS when there seems to be nothing to update.

Okay, I thought this was a joke because I just got the update thing today. I'm currently still running Windows 7 and I don't know if I truly want Windows 10, though I wouldn't mind.
 
As a somewhat of a Windows enthusiast I'm really excited for this. Although as a current 8.1 user I will miss the charm bar, I've gotten really used to it. Besides that, I won't really miss 8.1. I've seldom used the start screen, and I'm glad that the Windows 10 start screen is more desktop friendly.

if you have windows 7 or windows 8 you have the option to upgrade to windows 10 for free within a year after release.

i don't think compatibility will be too huge of an issue
 
Quick google search says no, you won't lose your data. (But it's still a good idea to make a backup, just in case.)

Really, you should try googling this stuff. :p

Nah not yet. Give it 3 years or so for me; you know I'm late as hell with modernizations. I have custom things with Windows 7 and I can edit many things (And hack) with Windows 7 under my belt. Also I'm waiting on everything to be system compatible because when they did Windows 8, NOTHING was compatible with it and it always crashed and created havoc which ain't nobody got time for.

Well most of the games on steam (mostly new ones) are saying that are Windows 10 Compatible
