Wiimmfi(A replacement for Nintendo WFC)

So, its almost been a year since Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection was shut down. It's also almost been a year since a custom server replacement, called Wiimmfi, has launched. Its 1 year anniversary is in four days(May 10th, 2015).

Does anyone here actually go on Wiimmfi? Because even though the community is quite huge already, I don't think most of the places I visit on the internet even know Wiimmfi exists.

Sadly, no matter HOW hard I try, I always fail.  :'(
I'm dying to get MKWii Custom Tracks and possibly NewerSMBWii.

Those are great game mods, but I'm assuming you can't get them because you don't know how to homebrew your wii?...

Here's a number of ways on how to install the homebrew channel on your wii(which from there, you can download and use those game mods you mentioned.)

By can't get it to work, do you mean the homebrew channel installer or the game mods?

Ok...
1. What method are you using to install the homebrew channel? For me I used Smash Stack since it works on all system versions.
2. How are you trying to load the game mods?

1. LetterBomb (not to install homebrew channel)
2. via the SD card---following instructions for version 4.3
I'll use your troubleshooting tips tomorrow btw.
PS: What games do you have via hacks?

I'm dying to get MKWii Custom Tracks and possibly NewerSMBWii.

You don't need wiimifi for the latter. The former you don't need it either, but playing MKWii alone is dull and it kinda defeats the purpose if you wouldn't play it with others.

Anyway, I do have it, but only for Brawl back when it shut down. But since I got Smash 3DS for Christmas and I moved on from Brawl (seriously when I play Brawl online now after playing Smash 4 I NOTICE the input lag LOL), I don't really use it anymore.

Although I do have a friend that has Wiimifi for MKWii and I might return to MKWii. Just been super busy (and partly lazy ) to set it up lately. X__x

I still think the name is retarded.

Used it for CTGP at one point. Got tired of it because I like MK8's physics/karts/tracks better imo.
...although I do love that countdown mode more than the battle mode here...

Might use it again some day when local multiplayer online gets released. Dunno when that'll be but I know it'll be awesome when it does.

That's exactly what I did. I changed the folder name to "privateold", and followed everything correctly. Weird.

Edit: Does your letterbomb have your wii's MAC address? The wii won't accept any messages that don't specifically reply to it's MAC address. You can find it in the Wii's system settings.

Actually I don't think I'll get Wiim-idk. I'm fine with the games that have Wifi already on the Wii u, plus...I don't have anymore Wii games since the shut down XD
