Wii or Revolution?

I recently found out that the Wii was going to be called the Revolution before being changed to the Wii.

Do you prefer Wii or Revolution?

I prefer Wii because Revolution is too simple (!) and the look and game-style doesn't suit the name, in my opinion...

I heard this a while back. Wii just seems better. I don't know why. The Nintendo Revolution just seems too Nerdy

Well, Revolution conveys the feeling that the RVL (the product code for the Wii) was going to be a revolution in gaming experience, which it is.

However, Wii is a portmanteau of we and I - thus making the RVL both accessible to the 'we' (group gaming) and 'I' (solo gaming). Also many people have linked the 'i' with the Wii Remote (I fail to see the resemblance).

Personally, 'Revolution' suits hardcore gamers more, but Wii is a better, more catchy name that really explains the mass appeal of the RVL.

If you asked me when they announced that Wii would be the name, I would've said Revolution by a long shot. Now Wii has caught on more and I can't imagine it being Revolution. Wii is such an easier word to say.

I prefer the simpler title, which is Wii. It is better because it refered us in the word Wii (we).
Revolution is not a very Nintendo title, and it doesn't sound great.
