Why I don't like CoD

I never played Call of Duty and I had terrible grades.

I just was a big time procrastinator and didn't wanna do shit.

I agree that the set statement above by Toblet was ridiculous.

Most people spend more time playing on that one game than they do concentrating on their studies. Yes, people can still get good grades if they play CoD but they're the people who don't prioritize games.

I never said it was the only reason for bad grades, but I did say it was a large contributing factor. Seriously, 80% of the people in my class who had poor grades never shut up about that one damn game.

I agree that some gamers just play way too many games and don't study for tests therefore they get shitty grades, but you're trying to pin that problem on the CoD franchise. People can talk about CoD and still get crappy grades, it doesn't mean that CoD is the problem. Funny how the Mario franchise doesn't seem to be the problem with school grades. Figures.

I think part of why I got s*** grades is because I did play too many games and also because I personally found
school difficult for me.

I tried my hardest to get good grades, but it just didn't happen.

I was diagnosed with learning disabilities if that factors anything there...


Also, every fanbase has their share of idiots, n00bz and etc..

Yes, of course.

I was just using that as an example from the people in my school.
 
Do I really need to explain how that statement of mine is sarcastic? It's because you guys blame CoD all the time for stupid shit but when it comes to the Mario games, it's like fucking God. I know this is a Mario forum, but there is a certain fanboy degree on this forum that's just awfully annoying in most of you guys.

CoD fanboys are just as bad as the modern Mario fanboys.

You think we act like Mario is god? Wake up and smell the hummus. You don't hear the end of it when a Cod game is released. If they stopped trolling so much, I'd probably consider getting the game. I don't like every Mario game, and I've played so many different franchises, but Mario is the only series which I've come back to time and time again.
 
I stick between MPL and MPF because it plays out the horror of fanboyness I see at this forum.

I'll admit, the fanboy tolerance here can get to me sometimes and it annoys the crap out of me.

I can also see how some people would be annoyed when I talk about the Tales of series in the shoutbox(usually only happens when BL signs on). Sometimes I even get annoyed by it.

Dude, the last 2 years now, I have never heard anybody talk about CoD at my old high school. It's either Gears, GoW, or Halo. You should really stop assuming stuff and actually back up your findings. I am not saying either Mario or CoD fans are better than the other, all I am saying is that most of you guys have probably never played more than 1 CoD installment (I have and I didn't enjoy it, but at least I gave the games a CHANCE) and therefore can't make a solid judgment. You guys can't just bash a franchise solely due to the fanbase. You have to play the damn things first.

I can respect minor fanboyism but not when they are like "ZOMGCALLOFDUTYISAMAZINGISTHEBESTGAMESERIESEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

That really pisses me off.

I haven't said CoD is a terrible game and I have watched plenty of videos on it, but I don't like some of their fan-boys who troll every video. I have seen plenty of people trolling saying how wonderful CoD is and how terrible every other developer is, even though they haven't given any others a chance.

At my school it's either CoD or Fifa. I really like Halo but at least I don't hear anyone disrupt the teacher just to talk about that game. It's a shame it does happen with CoD.
 
And for the record, I have played Call of Duty. Four of them, I believe.

So, in my experience I can tell you what aspects I hate and/or love about the series.

I'm sure the post I posted on the first page sums it up.

And most of the people I do know play Call of Duty, and it does annoy me when that's all they talk about.
