Why did you join, and are you happy you did?

What made you decide to join the forum? And are you happy you did?

I joined in March 2010 cuz I was looking for some MP7 info, SZ's videos pop up first, and I checked them out and joined. I never seen a Mario Party site that really interested me like SMPSFII did (yes, I was checking MP sites back in 2009 ), so I joined and the rest is history. I don't regret joining. :D I've been here a while, and though 2010 may have been a year with ups and downs, my experience definitely improved over time and I'm loving it. :)

Well, I've been here for the past anniversaries, is there any need for me to repeat?

I'm very glad to have joined in this forum. I joined five years ago, on Friday, January 25, 2008. Reason for join was because I wanted to take part in discussion, and Mario Party is one of my favorite series to talk and play. Another thing that I'm happy about is that I got to make new friends here.
 
I joined because of how I like the Mario Party franchise and because of the release of the new game, Mario Party 9, as well. The first thing that made me interested about looking about things here is by something on the website I read about how there weren't any Mario Party games since a while and I was always wondering if, one day, there would be another of these games, and also because of how I was interested about SuperZambezi's project about this website, which I think is really great to do about Mario Party, which is a game franchise I really like (I also like some other Mario games, like Mario Kart).

And, because of how I can't speak much of how I like these games, because of how I have no one in real life around my age who like the games, I was feeling like I should really talk about these to people, who like me, like these games as well. I was impressed to see that I could have some people who also thinks that way.

I am also someone who like to share my own opinions and I was also convinced by how good the community is around here. Even if I am somewhat embarassed at times, I think it's still interesting to look around rather than only posting, and the other features can be helpful in that case, too. I think it was a good thing to have joined here as I was able to have some good conversations with people and making good friendships around, although for now, it's mostly for the community instead. Without these good people, I would probably not feel as good of being here...

It was back in February 2009, a dark period of my life (not really). I was looking for new games coming in 2010 and later, looking for information and stuff that could be interesting. So I searched for various series, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Mario, Pokemon and obviously Mario Party. I googled all of those series for info. When I googled for Mario Party this site pop ups on the first page. I open the link and I see some artworks. Handmade boards by members from that time. It got me convince to make my own boards, but like every project I start, I never finished and eventually forgot about this site. Then, on February 2010 I remembered this site because I was bored. I was simply lurking on the internet, so I joined, I mean why not?

I don't know if I'm really happy to have joined this site, I met great people and all, but I don't know. Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't have joined, I'm sorry.... :/
 
I was on YouTube and a recommended video was one of SZ's advertisement videos, and I decided I'd join this place for my first forum and well I got to meet plenty of interesting people, I don't really talk to anyone or interact as much as I did in the Summer but I still come here practically everyday because I enjoy seeing some of the people and seeing what they say.
 
I think I joined last year because I was fascinated by MP9 and thought I would get some info about. And where I live nobody is interested in Mario games (and all other Nintendo games).
I'm very glad I joined as this forum is good and the topics are sorted well so you can find what you are looking for easily.
