Ok to me, this is the best Mario game, maybe even the best game of all time. Especially considering the time period for this game. Just amazing. Wat do you guys like/dislike about this game?

Oh my. I love this game entirely. My favorite Mario game EVAR. I can't find anything to honestly dislike about this game. The game was put out PERFECTLY. <3 Shigeru Miyamoto, you did good with this game!
Completly agree! It doesnt matter how old the game gets i will always still gladly play it!
This was actually my first 3D game, and I loved it.
But bowser scared me. ;_;

I loved playing this game when I was a little kid. It too was my first 3D game. The only problem I had was throwing Bowser off, due to my crappy joystick.
Other than that, I loved it.

For its time, this was easily the best game. period. If you think about how much new concepts Nintendo had to play with in SM64 and to think the same formula is still being used for games today about 15 years later is amazing.
First Mario game I played and I think the second or third one I beat.
I stopped for a year

This is my favorite Mario Game, it's way better than Mario Galaxy, and to be honest I didn't like SMG that much. I always play it and I like how they made a remake on the DS.
This is my favorite Mario game. I loved its levels, the music, and the freedom the game gave me. In SMG, you have to follow the linear path that the game sets, but 64 was free and a very fun game too
Ummm... for a really old game, I really got obsessed with it around December. I have 118 stars (still have DDD 100 coins and HMC 100 coins). It's the best N64 game I've ever seen. (If I ever get MP2 on the VC, then either it or this will be the best N64 game) Anyway, I love all the level in this game. I hate DDD 100 coins since I got my 100th coin and I couldn't get to the star, then got pulled to a square hole and went back to outside the castle. Anyway, still, I love it. I play it on my VC every five days or less.
I played Super Mario 64 when I was 6 years old.
This was my first Nintendo 64 game. It was a great Mario game back then, I remember completing it a few times. It had many courses to play in, as well. But the remake version for the DS was better, since it had more characters, mini-games, more of everything.
C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER.
My first 3D game was Crash Bandicoot for the PS1, and at the time, I was too interested with the PS1 to go with the N64. When I first saw Super Mario 64, though, I was automatically addicted. I still say it's a great game, better than Super Mario Sunshine, but I have played better classic 3D hits that leave more of a memory.

yea this was my first mario game come to think of it! And i liked this a little better than shine because you werent forced to get a certain star. You had complete freedom to do whatever you want and go for whatever star you wanted to go for
I dunno what combo you broke SM64 wasnt my first 3-d game either.Kona-chan said:
