There's some stuff I want to expose in Pokemon.

Did you know that:

Ekans spelled backwards is "snake"

Arbok spelled backwards is "kobra" (cobra)

Slakoth was from a slang phrase "slack off"

Pikachu was from a combination of ピカピカ pikapika which is Japanese onomatopoeia for sparkle and チューチュー chūchū which is the sound of squeaking. It may be named after the pika, a lagomorph.

Buizel is formed with a combination of "buoy" and "weasel". Japan version is "Buoysel"
It spins it's tail like a propeller blade unlike Miles "Tails" Prower.

Mewtwo's name is a combination of "Mew" and "Two" indicating that it is a clone of Mew. It also sounds somewhat phonetically similar to the English word mutant.

This is all I can find so far. So If you found any more stuff that's interesting, you're more than welcome to post it.

Yes, Pokemon does not apply science or logic in it. That should explain why you can Fly with a Pidgey, or Surf on a Squirtle.
Up until this page, the ones that I just know now are the beta names, because I never pay attention to beta names.
This quote reminds me of something I heard in an ealrier video of the LP I posted last week. Somehow, Doduo can Fly, yet it has no wings. Nintendo Logic at its finest.
