Stats in RPGs (Poll)

Aaaaand another poll. This time about the strategy you use with RPG stats, the basic ones. Which do you consider the 2 most important ones?

You'll be able to choose 2 options here because of the many different plays you can do, like Health and Defense, Attack and Critical Hits, Speed and Defense, yada, yada, yada... Let's see what type of strategy you use!

I'll be kinda dissappointed if you ever need to use this...
  • HP: Your life. Reach 0 and it's game over!
  • Attack: Represents how much damage you can cause to your enemy.
  • Defense: The higher the number, the less damage you take from normal attacks.
  • MP: Magic has a limit! You'll need MP when you want to land M. Attacks, Heal your party member, or cause Status Effects to your enemy..
  • M. Attack: Usually stronger than normal ones, but most of them cost MP. Also applies for how much you can Heal.
  • M. Defense: Same as normal defense, but it only applies if you're hit with M. Attacks.
  • Critical: Sometimes your attacks can be stronger than usual. They're called Critical Hits. The higher the number, the more common you'll land Critical Hits.
All-Around means that you feel all should be at the same level. You can choose an actual stat and then choose All-Around if you care for that one stat and think the others are not important.

(I feel like I over-complicated things on the explanation. Not good at explaining... Sorry?)

I'll go first. Honestly, I'm an All-Arround (can't choose), but I also need some M. Attacks for Healing, strong attacks and stuff.
So All-Arround and M. Attack.

I don't think this needs to be said, but I might as well...

The Magic Points equivalent of the M&L series are the Special Points.

The Magic Attack equivalent of the Pokéverse is the Special Attack or ranged-attacks, like Surf or Earthquake.
I don't need to explain the Special Defense.

And for Fire Emblem... No, those got it right, actually. :p
