I liked the special orbs. It gives you a special chance to use an orb that other characters can't.

List of Characters with their Special Orbs
Mario: Fireball Orb
Luigi: Fireball Orb
Yoshi: Egg Orb
Peach: Flower Orb
Wario: Vaccum Orb
Daisy: Flower Orb
Waluigi: Vaccum Orb
Toad: Triple Shroom Orb
Boo: Magic Orb
Toadette: Triple Shroom Orb
Birdo: Egg Orb
Dry Bones: Magic Orb
 
YES! It was very unique compared to the other Mario Parties...and it reminded me of Mario Kart: Double Dash!!.

And my favorite Special Orb was the Magic Orb! Being able to pass through Orbs and double your spaces? COME ON NOW! That's like the best thing!

My most hated Special Orb is the Vacuum Orb...that one is pretty stupid...they could have came up with something better for Wario and Waluigi.
 
Having special orbs is a pretty cool thing in mario party 6,7. Those two were always my favorite. But they completely took them away in mario party 8, which is why i didnt even get that game. Having orbs makes it almost somewhat strategic, but they completely messed that up with candies and whatnot, bogus. I hope they bring orbs back in mario marty 9, unlike 8. They should also not only bring back orbs but some MORE better "original" maps and more cool mini games. But yeah, if mario party 9 doesnt have orbs and is just like mario party 8, im probably not even going to get it.
