SMPSF Newsletter?

I was just wondering, would anyone here be interested in working on a newsletter for the forum. If you want a basic example of how it'd be, click here (leads to MBF Newsletter #5). But of course we can just add our own style to it so it isn't a half-done ripoff and the likes.

So back to the question, would anyone be interested? If we get some people who are willing to type articles, comics, etc., SZ can set up a Newsletter Staff board for the staff to discuss behind-the-scenes stuff.

  As far as who's in charge, I wouldn't mind running it and stuff unless you guys wanna run a vote or whatever is cool with you guys.



EDIT: If you're interested, you can request membership to the "Newsletter Team Member" group.

To request membership, click on Profile, then on the left-hand side, click "Group Membership", then click the "Request Membership" link on the right. Us mods/staff will review your request and accept (at first).

O-o I suggested this last month, In the shoutbox, you said it wasn't nessecary..

Anyway, I think there should, I like news alot.

Well, that's really the only problem with it, getting stuff in for the deadline. But hopefully we have a core group of members who can stay dedicated to making the newsletter.

Well we could have some sort of "SMPSF Current Events" thing though some of it can just be self-opinion articles about Mario Party or something going on in the real world. I don't wanna leak a bunch of ideas out right here but you get my point hopefully.
 
Im up for a newsletter, I just need to know who will be willing to work on one and what they want to do. As for deadlines, I think they should be assigned to each member individually. I dont think there should be a set time for it to come out but when it is close to being completed, a notice in the Forum that it should be out within the next week or something.
 
Content wise (just some ideas):

>Forum/Site news: what's happened recently, any new changes.
>Mario Party developments: including our petition programs (MP9/DS2).
>Fun Facts: about members or MP in general.
>Forum Comic: as the title says. It's tough to implement this, but if people are willing to do it (receives stares), this would be excellent.
>Extra Zone: random games.

...and perhaps, if we used Publisher to produce the newsletter?

H-J: Relx... I know you tend to do this, but please keep this kind of non-contributing post to a minimum. I don't wan't to have to enforce harsher penalties on you. ;)

Comic will be sort of difficult. It should just be some fanart in general (from our members of course)

So when will this officially start?

Hopefully soon.

Maybe I could do a comic if I've got time. I probably could make some time too.
 
Well then, there seems to be overall approval of the idea. I'll now make a new board called Newsletter, and whoever wants to be a part can request membership to a "Newsletter" group.
