Instead of a 4DS, why not the HDS. A DS in HD. Simple.

Well seeing as the 4th dimension is traveling across the 3rd dimension, that'd be time. So unless your DS is travelling across time and space, we won't be seeing a 3DS any time soon.

I'd consider the 3DS HD though. It is widescreen and has a nice resolution for a handheld.

Though the Vita's display is amazing.

Yeah, I agree the 4ds might in be made in several years, so a 3DS HD would be nice.

Someone mentioned a Wii Z to me once, it didn't sound realistic though. Nintendo decided to be done with NSMB games for the rest of this generation, I assume that goes the same with the consoles. They just made 2 consoles. But I'm sure a new handheld won't take but several years, but a new home console my have to wait.

nearly a year later and i finally read the whole first part of this topic suggesting that the next nintendo console will be in 4 dimensions. good stuff

I hope they drop the whole "Wii" moniker for starters. Graphic capabilities on par with the other two would be astounding but I feel like that's not going to happen.
