Linkin Park's most recent album was actually pretty promising, or at least respectable given that they've switched from the mindset of "what kind of music will more people like?" to "what kind of music would we want to listen to?" Either way, everything else they've made is crap. 
The Strokes are fantastic and always have been, they're the obvious vote for me.
