The Bowser Mushroom has to be the rarest item in the Mario Party series. I can't think of any item as rare as it. I used to play Mario Party 4 a lot and I've never seen it before. I've completed Story Mode with every character and I played plenty of games in Party Mode, and I've never seen that item. Koopa Kid has a pretty high chance of appearing from a Bowser Space instead of Bowser himself, right? That really adds to the rarity of the Bowser Mushroom. I believe the odds of Bowser giving the mushroom away are very slim, not even considering Koopa Kid's chances of taking Bowser's place.
Back then, I only knew that this item existed because Waluigi is holding on the boxart (I think it is also listed in the manual with the other items, I'm not sure about that). I wonder just how rare this item is. I've seen this item in action from a video, it functions pretty much identical to the Bowser Suit from Mario Parties 2 and 3 except you can steal 30 coins from another player instead of 20. The player flattens the others like with the Mega Mushroom. It seems like each playable character has some unique voice clips where they attempt to imitate Bowser's voice.
Have any of you gotten and used this rare item from Bowser before? Or another player/CPU player?
