Have you ever had stitches?

When I was getting surgery before they used some sort of special stitches that dissolve or something like that. That's about it.

I have. Last year, ( in like December) I fell on a sharp rock during school and it cut my knee open. I think it hurt so much, that I couldn't cry. Anyways, I had to go to the hospital and I had to get stitches. My mom left the room when i got my operation because she didn't want to see my cut knee. I thought it would hurt a lot, but it wasn't too bad. Only getting 2 of the stitches hurt because the doctors didn't put that numbing medicine in my knee everywhere. After that, I got Mcdonalds and then I went home. (I didn't have any crutches or anything, I had to hop) and then when I got home, I had to sit in the rolling chair and I had someone push me while I was in the chair. When I had to go to the bathroom, I had to hop to the toilet and the sink. When I had to eat, my mom would bring me my food downstairs. She even brought my favorite food. It's noodles with this meat and soup with a spice called HOISON SAUCE. (Yes, I'm asian. I'm Chinese and Cambodian) It was delicious. When I had to sleep, I slept on the bed (the ones that come with the couches). It was a bit difficult to sleep because I move around a lot, but it hurts when I turn. My mom made me a sandwich for breakfast and lunch, and I played my Wii, played my DS and watched tv while I was in the bed. When it I had to get my stitches removed, I was scared. It actually hurt more then getting them. It hurt because there was dry blood on the stitches and I had to wait a while to get my operation. Before my 2nd to last day of school, my class made get well cards for me and my friend brought them over to me. I read them all. I was emotionally feeling better. On my 2nd to last day of school, I visted my school and I gave boxes of chocolates to my teachers, principal and vice-principal. On my last day of school, I returned and I watched my class play double-touch football(because I was in elementary school) during lunch and I couldn't play sports because I wasn't completely able to run. My knee got completely better on Christmas. I stayed home for 2 weeks (and counting) and I got 9 stitches. Everyone said I was brave going through that tough time.
