Wii U - Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 2 Preview
The first track of Crossing Cup. GCN Baby Park returns for the second time. The course was a retro course for the first time in Mario Kart DS. Since its appearance in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, it has gotten a major upgrade in HD and has more attractions in the background. The course is now entirely in anti-gravity.

I knew this course was going to come. It was in the Mario Kart 8 files since the update for the first DLC pack in November 2014. This course is going to be chaotic in 200cc engine class. I also like the fact that it went back to seven laps and the music speeds up with each lap.

I'm not looking forward to this to be honest. It's the type of map that's going to be spammed, even more so than Excite Bike only because winning is primarily dependent on luck and not skill. Targeting/ teaming people will also be very easy considering those with an entire lap/ two lap lead can still be hit people who are significantly behind. I thought MK8 was trying to get rid of targeting, not promote it.

This course somewhat justifies having all the babies, but still. I'm a bit disappointed the Yoshi Helicopter and Roller Coaster aren't back, but everything else looks amazing! I think they meant to have Baby Bowser in there, but due to the bandana I'm pretty sure it's Bowser Jr. Also, I don't think it'll be as effective as it was in Double Dash!!, not only because the Bowser Shells are gone, but also because MK8's item system seems to focus on Mushrooms as opposed to the hectic items.
