My brother stomped on our Genesis when we were little, but thankfully we had two already. I also traded a DBZ action figure in 2006 for a broken DS and DS case, but decided to take it apart and break it. =P I still use the case, though.

I have gotten one console repaired. A few years ago, my Wii crapped out and wasn't able to read discs. I had to pay $80 to get it repaired. That sucked as I had to clean the house for a month, but it wasn't that bad; my mom is pretty laidback when it comes to cleaning.

If a system of mine was broken I'd just buy a new one. Never tried to get mine repaired.

Not my mom. I try and clean the best I can and she says I do an awful job when I tried my best. Because of that, I refuse to help her clean anything. Otherwise, I would do so more often.

Same happens with me...

My Wii just broke a few days ago and now I can't play until I buy a new one or repair it. This is my first broken console.
