Before I give my thoughts, I just want to say that I am always trying to see both sides of the issue before making any kind of decision. It's important to make the a decision based on the facts and not on opinions. That's what I plan to do here. I also want to point out that there was a lot of stuff to read both here and on MPF so if I missed anything important I should have addressed please let me know.
What happened with Aegis and TT is something they should fix themselves. This should not have become a full time drama. If everything was done in a mature way, this could have been resolved the day it happened. From what I have seen through posts, Aegis, you did not handle this situation very well.
The problem I have is that Aegis went over to MPF to pretty much troll. Its been said countless times that what happens outside the Forum, should not matter what happens here. But that should not be true. If you have someone on your Staff doing something like, say, creating bots and sending them to other Forums, I wouldn't want that member on Staff. This holds true here. An Admin needs to be able to control himself outside of the Forum if he plans to be respected here. It's also our responsibility to take care of any damage done to another Forum by our members. We might not agree on everything, but we do have each others backs and we do not allow any kind of trolling or flaming at one another.
In regards to the SMPSF topic over at MPF, I can see what makes Aegis mad and why he might have done some of the things he did on MPF. It's the same way I felt. However, the way it was handled, is in my opinion, irresponsible and immature. Trolling and flaming never helps anyone, regardless of what Forum you are on. I don't like a lot of the things I see over at that topic, and truthfully that topic should not even exist. If someone else chooses to bash us, that's fine. We don't have to do anything about it. They don't troll us, so why should we care.
What bothers me the most is that I am dealing with an admin right now. It's a bad picture if you have to be dealing with an admin. That is definitely a problem and it's something that should not have to happen. I understand "one flame post", but as Admin, that shouldn't happen. If the majority of members no longer feel comfortable with having you as Admin, something has to be done.
I'm sure a lot of stuff was not mentioned here, but I don't think it matters. I do think Aegis likes the Forum as much as he says and I'm sure he is doing the best to help it, but as of right now, I don't Admin spot is the best for you. I have no problem with you being Gmod, but Admin is no longer a title I think you should hold. I can't make any final decisions myself, but I will talk to the staff and we will work this out and get a final resolution out. And I really hope we can all be mature about making this resolution.
