I've been trolling this site for about 5 years now because that site is filled with awful opinions that it's just so funny.

Like, they once listed Rush (And i'm pretty still they still do) as a "violent grunge band" that nobody under 16 should listen to. Funny, because Rush is a great rock legend and their songs provide positive messages for the most part. So why did they label them as such?

I got into an argument with one of the reviewers and she said that "Tom Sawyer" represented violence and torture and "Spirit of Radio" represented destruction and rebellion. I called her a f***king idiot and the kids on there seemed to agree with my points, so they didn't ban me. =P

It's a song by Rush, Cook. =P

Also, I had a recent argument about Seinfeld being for kids 16 and older. They claimed that Seinfeld talked about nothing but sex and consumerism. Ok, George Lopez and Two and a Half Men do that rate they rate those shows 10+. Seriously, their reviewers are retarded as hell.

Because empowering parents to keep their dumb kids in line is bad.

It is when they warp the show's contents to make it fell like it's SUPER ULTRA bad.

From Charizard632:
You know, swearing is 90% acceptable in Gaia Online, so I might say "GTA4 f***s!" But due to the immense amount of sex and swearing, it becomes iffy for ages 15-18 according to Common Sense Media. So I should turn the filter on, but they may see me as a spammer/annoyer.
This is why I made this topic.

I found that site a while back and just laughed at how they think everything is inappropriate. Parents should monitor what their kids watch/read/listen to. But a good parent would screen things themselves first (besides things that obviously aren't age appropriate, like Knocked Up for a 10 year old) and not rely on a clearly biased website.

Especially with movies/tv shows/books that deal with sex, they don't even put it in context. They'll bash something that features realistic portrayals of teenage sex, making it sound like the sex exists in a romance novel way, when really it teaches a lesson or something similar.

It looks like people are complaining about this website. I oppose your ideas.

Common Sense Media can help families of children under 18. And I saw that Aegis found my Common Sense Media account. "And that explains why Charizard is a kid." This is a really helpful website, but some movies, video games, and audio CD's are missing. It looks like they are only adding stuff from the present day now, not from the slight past (2002, 2004). However, they use some bad words as an example, but they censored out the stronger bad words.

Common Sense Media says that I'm fifteen, because I am born on August 1995. Actually, I'm still 14, because I don't turn 15 until the end of August.

Overall, this website is almost accurate. Rating: 9/10

I'm expecting some rant over my post.

Respect for you went so low, that if it goes down again it'll breach the bottom of infinity.

Have you read any of the classic shows like Star Trek and their ratings? Wrath of Khan is 10+ while in reality it's nothing really bad. The only reason why it's so high because they don't like SPOCK DYING.

God forbid we expose children to death instead of sheltering them until somebody close to them dies and they have to face the cold hard truth of reality.
