The Gaming Star is clear evidence people are voting for ther friends.
I see nominees who know nothing pre-2005 about gaming.

But the Gaming Star is about the person who shows the best sportsmanship in playing games, and who can play well.

I must've read the description improperly then.

Being "REALLY HYPED" that you will win something? In most cases, that leads to disappointment, so I think you better get rid of all of that hype before the awards end.
