Jinx's Comparisons #1 - Cirno vs Toadette

Time for something new for my viewers. In this series, I will compare two or more different characters, stages, or objects and go through detail to find out who I like better. There will be 7-9 categories.

For this round, we have the Toad girl Toadette against the ice fairy Cirno. Both of these characters are interesting to me in their appearances in media. But which character do I like better?

Category 1: Appearance

In terms of appearance, both of them are rather cute. Toadette has that pink pigtailed cap that is rather fitting for her style and she has a pink dress with a red vest. She's the one Toad girl star.

However, I'm giving this point to Cirno. I like the color blue better than pink, plus she has a rather cute bow on her hair, not to mention those six wings around her.

Category 2: Abilities

Spoiler

Toadette has the abilities of appearing out of seemingly nowhere, boosting, running very fast, ability to control a legendary rod, enlarging, sliding, and wall jumping.

But this point goes to Cirno. She can fly, fire lasers, send a freaking barrage of bullets all over the place, and even freeze stuff in one shot.

Category 3: Actions

Cirno hasn't done anything major other than stop three other fairies and punish them.

This point goes to Toadette, because she helped Mario throughout his adventure by giving him what he needs to continue.

Category 4: Personality

While I do like Toadette's kind, sociable personality, this point goes to Cirno, as she gets some good laughs with her clumsiness and sensitivity. Her theme song in the games is called "Beloved Tomboyish Daughter!" Do I even need to back up my argument any further?

OK, I can't really say anything major about these characters, because neither of them have done anything significant. But on minor changes, this point goes to Toadette, because she started as generic, but became a character of her own throughout the series. Cirno just seems to be plain old Cirno in the games she appears in.

Category 7: Motivations

Toadette is motivated by her willingness to help other characters. She will stop at absolutely nothing.

Cirno, on the other hand, seems to be in just for the ride, and sometimes lets her quick temper get the best of her.

This category came down to two games: UNL vs Mario Kart. While I like UNL quite a bit, Mario Kart is the winner here.

OK, how this category works is that I list some minor descriptions. The most descriptions gets the point.

The conclusion: While I like Cirno's humor and enjoy listening to her songs, I personally like Toadette better and I anticipate what she would do next.
